Irreparable Harm; Melissa F. Miller

'Hemisphere Flight from National Airport Crashes into Mountain in Virginia; No survivors', was the headlines in the morning newspaper.
"A plane suddenly changes it's coordinates and locks them in, that's not pilot error or a maintenance problem...." reacts Sasha the protagonist of the novel, at the official meeting. Sasha McCandless is an Attorney with Prescott & Talbott in Pittsburgh. She is beautiful, a Krav Maga expert and a tough cookie. She is on a mission to reveal the real reason for the plane crash.

Once the protagonist starts her work, a series of events occur one after the other that leads her closer to the reason for the crash. If there is conspiracy, hatred, cunningness, fear, anger and greed, On the contrary there is trust, commitment, compassion, bravery, comrade and the most humane qualities that finally helps in unveiling the truth. The story has its surprises and there are court room scenes that are well described. I appreciate the fact that the author has done a very good research on the legal front. But sadly it was easy for me to guess who was behind the plane crash. It's a medium paced novel that kept me hooked to it till the end. The character Sasha ultimately portrays girl power.

Fenway wants to work as a nurse, but is left with a single class to complete her Forensics to achieve a Masters in it. But now for the privileges that she will be showered by her Father at California, and an interesting job at hand, she has no other option but to take up the post of the City Coroner. The first day of her new career starts with the investigation of the murder of Mr Walker. In the process, a lot more is revealed and the case gets weirder and weirder every minute.

It is a medium paced novel.
I appreciate the fact that the author has portrayed the protagonist's character as Black skinned.
He has done his research with regard to the process of investigation very well.
There were no cuss words used as such.
The novel has its surprises at every turn of the page, but still I could guess who the murderer was. The book kept me hooked to it till the end.

Vidyut, a half man and half God has been summoned by his Great Grandfather living in a Mutt in Banaras. The revelation that follows at the Matt by the old man about the young man's purpose in life and his ancestors lives keeps him astounded. The events that reveal themselves in terms of, an attempt to murder the harmless Vidyut puts him on a pursuit to discover the assassins and the reason for their heinous act. But many of the questions are not answered in the book as the story continues in the sequel Pralay.

I liked the way the story has been presented with the happenings of the past life of the protagonist being narrated parallel with the present day events. There is a lot of explanation in some parts and the detailed description could be skipped by the reader. The story continues in the second book, how I wish everything got over in one book.

Mrs Sudha Murty a philanthropist, author, social worker and chairman of the Infosys Foundation
has managed to touch many people's lives, through her humility, generosity, simplicity, caring nature and love. I was surprised that her written work also depicts the same values.

The stories are nothing but personal experiences of the author that have been candidly let known to the readers. Every story has lots to teach about life, they impart values that I believe somewhere down the line have been forgotten by many. The stories have bits of authentic information about different aspects related to the world. Some stories have a tinge of humor. They are very touching. On the whole, the book depicts the Author herself.

It's a science fiction short read on Time Travel and the first novel in the new series written by the author. The novel has surprises, action, girl power portrayed and a tad bit of romance. I wish the author could take it a little easy on the romance part. It all happened so quick and in just a few sentences. In fact something new begins at the end of the story and seems to continue in the second book. I found the sequence at the end of the story, where before and after the 3 main characters could get in and out of the time machine a little confusing. It's a medium paced novel that kept me hooked to it till the end. The author has done a good job...
