Vidyut, a half man and half God has been summoned by his Great Grandfather living in a Mutt in Banaras. The revelation that follows at the Matt by the old man about the young man's purpose in life and his ancestors lives keeps him astounded. The events that reveal themselves in terms of, an attempt to murder the harmless Vidyut puts him on a pursuit to discover the assassins and the reason for their heinous act. But many of the questions are not answered in the book as the story continues in the sequel Pralay.

I liked the way the story has been presented with the happenings of the past life of the protagonist being narrated parallel with the present day events. There is a lot of explanation in some parts and the detailed description could be skipped by the reader. The story continues in the second book, how I wish everything got over in one book.

Rating: 3.5 on 5
